My Life So Far

My name is Chris Aldous, and most of my life has been built around work that matters, people who are growing, and the satisfaction of making something real. Over the years, I have worn many hats, but the common thread has always been the same: I like building, improving, teaching, and creating things that last.

A large part of my story has been shaped by gymnastics. For decades, I have been responsible for the management, safety, and day-to-day reality of youth gymnastics programs, and that work has given me a deep respect for discipline, trust, and long-term development. Gymnastics has never been just a business to me. It has been a way to help young people grow in confidence, character, and resilience.

At the same time, I have always been drawn to hands-on work. I enjoy building, fabricating, solving problems, and turning ideas into finished products, whether that means working with metal, woodworking, designing equipment, or developing new business ventures from the ground up. I have always believed there is something deeply satisfying about making useful things well, especially when they combine craftsmanship, function, and clear purpose.

Photography has also been an important part of my life. It has given me another way to pay attention, to notice detail, and to capture moments that matter. In many ways, photography reflects how I try to approach life in general: stay present, look carefully, and recognize value that others might miss.

I have also come to value experience not just as something you accumulate, but as something you pass on. Whether I am coaching, leading a business, advising on safety, or encouraging a young athlete, I try to bring a steady hand, honest judgment, and a sense of responsibility to the people who count on me. I take pride in being practical, but I also care deeply about doing things the right way.

Today, my life continues to evolve. I am still building businesses, developing ideas, and investing in the future of the people and communities around me, including work connected to athlete support and new opportunities beyond the gym. I do not see life as a finished story. I see it as a body of work still in progress, shaped by faith, effort, craftsmanship, and a desire to leave things better than I found them.

If I had to sum it up simply, I would say this: my life so far has been about building people, building businesses, and building things with care. And I am not done yet.
